Yep, off they go on their annual “research” mission. I will not wade into the debate over whether or not certain countries with a “whaling culture” have a right to fish or not fish; HOWEVER, I do think one of the fundamental problems with the debate is the glossed over truth when those same countries insist that it’s all for “research”.

If you’re going to catch it, “research” it, and then sell it for profit as cheap sashimi that you can barely give away (priced slightly less than squid), be honest and say so.

What kind of research is being done here, at my local mini-supermarket:
