As someone with Apple products up to my eyebrows, I happened to click on the Apple home page yesterday to see if I could figure out why the new 2GB of RAM I installed was causing sudden kernel panics when I wake my iMac from sleep. Of course Apple kernel panics are also commonly known as the Apple “black screen of death”, although I can assure you they are almost never as frequent or as irritating as the Windows blue screen of death that, several years ago, pushed me over to Apple in the first place . Anyway, I’m not overly concerned about the 2 kernel panics I’ve had since installing the RAM two days ago (compared to never having had one on my iMac in the past year, although I’ve had a few on my Macbook) - if it continues, I’ll take action.
Anyway, that’s what drove me to the Apple home page and, then, when I got there, I have to admit, I was pretty surprised to see this:

Out of curiosity, I clicked over to the Apple Japan homepage and there was no Al:

I dunno…not that I am really overly supportive of the selection of Al for the Nobel Peace Prize (I don’t equate environmental issues with peace initiatives); HOWEVER, I thought the Nobel Peace Prize was a global thing, and, perhaps even more important, I thought the whole point of Al’s big push for climate change was also supposed to be a global thing. Not for Apple, I guess, when you have a new product to push in a giant, tech-hungry market….

That’s because Al Gore sits on Apple’s board believe it or not. And because Steve Jobs is an old ex-hippie. Don’t get me wrong, I love Apple - I used to work there. I just thought the home page thing with Al was inappropriate.
Global warming and “peace initiatives” are a communist front. Google on “Communist goals 1963″ and see what you find. Gorbachev was a student of the Manulisky School for Political Warfare. Manulisky’s most famous quote is:
“War to the hilt between communism and capitalism is inevitable. Today, of course, we are not strong enough to attack. Our time will come in thirty to forty years. To win, we shall need the element of surprise. The bourgeoisie … will have to be put to sleep. So we shall begin by launching the most spectacular peace movement on record. There will be electrifying overtures and unheard of concessions. The capitalist countries, stupid and decadent, will rejoice to cooperate in their own destruction. They will leap at another chance to be friends. As soon as their guard is down, we will smash them with our clenched fist.”
Read Gorby’s book Peristroika. The goal of all communists is to stop all industry in the west because without heavy manufacturing, there can be no defense. Globalization, outsourcing, free trade, it’s all part of the communist agenda. Gorbachev learned the lesson well that military superiority rests on economic superiority. We brought down the soviet union not by war but by bankrupting them. Gorby is now a BUSINESS profession at NWU preaching the benefits of globalization. Connect the dots…
Chances are that you’ve got some incompatible RAM if you’re experiencing kernel panics. You’re especially at risk if it was cheap RAM (like Kingston). It’s not likely to go away. The best test is to take it out and see if the problem stops. If so, return the RAM and get a different brand, hopefully from a dealer that knows what works in Macs like Crucial. I’ve never had any problems with RAM purchased from them (for either Macs or PCs).
The only other possibility is that you’ve exceeded your machine’s maximum memory capability though that’s somewhat unlikely on a relatively new machine. My two-year-old Mac Mini kernel panicked like mad after I put in more RAM and it all cleared up when I replaced it with a different brand. It’s capable of handling a max of 1 GB of RAM though.
