In the meantime, I will post this little bit of wisdom from photography: sometimes you really need to be as in focus as possible with a shallow depth of field and all of your attention focussed on exactly the right thing

I walk the line

and sometimes it is the most beautiful thing ever to be completely out of focus and follow your heart when you defy the numbers blinking at you and telling you that things are not going to work out at all…

Shooting the Moon

Sometimes it’s just so clear and striking, you have to get out the tripod and last night was one of those nights:

Waning Gibbous 92% (yes, apparently it was 92%)

Just for those who are curious, the camera settings were: ISO 200, f/10, 1/100 sec; taken with a Canon 50D and a Sigma 150-500mm @ 500mm with mirror lock up on and, of course, as mentioned above, a tripod with a remote switch.
