Pre-Typhoon Purple Sky Over Tokyo

Yes, it seems I’ve been AWOL again…I’m definitely not going to win any Pro-Blogger “post regularly” prizes. I’m not really sure where July has gone, but that’s a separate issue.

For now, enjoy this truly spectacular pre-typhoon purple sky over Tokyo. I just ran out with the tripod and shot this a few minutes ago, so it’s definitely hot off the press (and has certainly jumped the queue on a whole lot of other photos waiting to be sorted):

Big cloud rumbling over Tokyo

I haven’t been doing too much shooting these days (busy, busy, busy), but there have been some interesting cloud formations over the past week or so in this somewhat atypical rainy season we are having.

This giant monster rumbling over the Tokyo station area on the 21st was amazing:
